Message from the Vicar
Our children are actively involved in the life of the Church at St Gregory's in Bedale. Reverend Simon leads collective worship regularly in school and is also one of our governors.
"As well, as serving Bedale Primary School as a governor, I have the delight of leading, alongside our family worker Michelle and my Methodist colleague Gareth, a weekly assembly. This involves speaking and singing and leading Collective Worship to Key Stage One and then to Key Stage Two. We hope to bring a different perspective to the weekly theme and help in embedding the ethos for a church school. During the Covid Pandemic, this included creating digital contributions to the Collective Worship.
As a team we are also called to share some aspect of the Christian faith to individual classes or year group. We often come along to school or indeed welcome children into St Gregory’s and/or the Methodist Church. Major festivals see the whole school come along to hold a service event where parents can also be present."
